SwitchBlox - A Tiny 5 port Ethernet Switch Designed for Robotics
The World’s Smallest Ethernet Switch
SwitchBlox is a tiny 5 port Ethernet switch designed for robotics that can be powered from 7 to 40V and requires absolutely zero setup. With power applied, simply connect your devices using Ethernet to picoblade cables. SwitchBlox also provides a 5V, 2A output for powering external devices.
Built for Robotics
Ethernet is widely used in industrial and robotics applications because it’s robust, noise tolerant, and has a high data throughput. SwitchBlox is an integrated board lets you build a plug and play Ethernet network.
They’ve squeezed all necessary Ethernet circuitry into SwitchBlox without making performance compromises. Ethernet magnetics is included to provide signal integrity and electrical isolation between each ethernet bus.
They use picoblade connectors on all the boards to keep them tiny, and you can purchase picoblade to ethernet cables direct from Bot Blox. You can also create your own custom cables and they’ve clearly labelled SwitchBlox ports to help with that; below is a handy diagram to help you with the pinout.
- Input Voltage: 7-40V
- Ethernet Type: 10/100 MB/s
- Number of Ports: 5
- Weight: 7g
- Dimensions: 135 x 90 x 65mm
SwitchBlox includes a cable kit with the following:
- 2 x Picoblade to tinned wires (for power in and power out)
- 5 x Picoblade to RJ-45 (for ethernet connections)
